Microsoft Shows Surface Windows 8 to Competing iPad

"Microsoft released a sequence of tablet computers on  Wednesday as the technical massive battled to restore floor missing to Apple's iPad."

Having declared last week that the company was set to create a key statement, Bob Ballmer, Microsoft windows us chief professional, revealed two new product PCs at a carefully covered press occurrence in Los Angeles.

He said the new equipment – known as Surface area – were part of a "whole new family of devices" the organization is creating. The equipment will run editions of Microsoft windows approaching Microsoft windows 8 os, a program the organization wants will allow it to create up floor in traveling with a laptop missing to Apple organization and Google Operating system.

"We want to give Microsoft windows 8 its own associate components enhancements," Ballmer said.

Analysts provided the as yet unpriced equipment a careful welcome. "From a design viewpoint it looks excellent," said Carolina Milanesi at Gartner.

She said it looked like a serious opponent to Apple's best-selling iPad but success would rely on price and the applications available for the equipment.

The 9.3mm wide program has a mineral magnesium vitamin case, features a 10.6-inch HD wide screen display, a kickstand and is less than a kilo (1.5lbs). The program comes with a extractible key pad and track pad that connect magnetically to the product.

Apple has so far seen off most of its competition in the tablet computers market such as Blackberry mobile phones manufacturer Research in Movement and Hewlett Packard. Amazon's Kindle has pushed Apple's popularity but with a far less flexible and powerful machine. This year Apple organization sold over 40 thousand iPads, out of globally revenue of 60 thousand.

At the display, Ballmer and Steven Sinofsky, the chief professional of Microsoft windows Windows department, burdened Surface's processing power.

Sinofsky known as it a "tablet that's an excellent PC – a PC that's an excellent tablet".

Milanesi said the Surface area might attract business users already used to Microsoft software, an area where Apple organization has been creating inroads with iPads and iPhones. "It is certainly a very competitive product in that space," she said.

The organization did not expose costs or launch times but at the occurrence Sinofsky said it would be "priced like similar tablet computers." Milanesi said she expected the Surface area to cost less than $699 (£446) in the US and be released before the all-important Christmas promoting season.

The technical company has a irregular record in releasing its own components products and has usually left the creating of components to associates such as Dell or Hewlett Packard. While Microsoft windows Console video program is a world leader, its iPod competing Microsoft zune and Kin phones proven mishaps.
